Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Western Currency Campus Expansion

The Western Currency Campus Expansion was a 160,000 square foot, $32.7 Million expansion that included the Visitor’s Center, museum and overhead gallery for the public to view currency being produced-from beginning to end, administrative offices and approximately 86,000 sq. ft. of increased currency printing production space. As one of only (2) facilities in the United States, this plant allowed tours for the first time since its opening in 1991. We commissioned the HVAC, building automation, utility monitoring and control, lighting, power distribution, renewable energy, plumbing, irrigation, compressed air and vacuum, energy metering, building envelope, communication and data, integrated security, life safety, fire protection and acoustic control systems.
