About MEP COMMISSIONING

The commissioning process employed by MEP Commissioning is based on ASHRAE Guideline 0-2005, PECI Commissioning Guide, AABC commissioning procedures, Building Commissioning Association (BCA), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).  We have taken the best practices from each of these programs to form the basis for MEP Commissioning’s practices and procedures. These procedures meet USGBC LEED Energy and Atmosphere Prerequisite 1 Fundamental Commissioning and Energy and Atmosphere Credit 3 Enhanced Commissioning.

MEP Commissioning has been certified since September 2010 by the City and County of Denver as:

  • Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), MEP Commmissioning, Inc. is majority owned by a members of a socially disadvantaged groups.
  • Woman Business Enterprise (WBE), MEP Commmissioning, Inc.is majority owned by a woman.
  • Small Business Enterprise (SBE), MEP Commmissioning, Inc.annual revenues must not exceed the SBA Size Standard.
  • Emerging Business Enterprise (EBE), MEP Commmissioning, Inc.is certified for specific construction and professional services projects.

We employee licensed Professional Engineers for Colorado and Hawaii, Certified ACG AABC Certified Commissioning Authorities (CxA), Certified BCCB Certified Commissioning Professionals (CCP) and ACG AABC Certified Commissioning Technicians (CxT). We also have a Level II Certified Thermographer and a LEED Green Associate on staff.

MEP Commissioning is a Building Certification Commissioning Board, Certified Commissioning Firm, an ACG AABC Commissioning Group, Commissioning Firm and a U. S. Green Building Council Member.
